John Maybury is a speaker coach based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a rich broadcasting legacy as a third-generation Kiwi radio professional. Over a decade at Newstalk ZB, Hauraki, The Hits, and ZM, John built a career as a host, voice artist, and newsreader, crafting a deep understanding of what captivates an audience. Alongside his radio work, he honed his communication and stage presence as an actor, MC, and TV presenter.

After relocating to Australia, John expanded his storytelling expertise in media, marketing, and advertising agencies, working with major brands to design experiences that connect emotionally with audiences. Today, he brings that same storytelling passion to his coaching practice, empowering business founders and leaders to deliver compelling messages on stage and in video. John’s mission is to help others speak with clarity, confidence, and authentic impact.
